We are thrilled to announce that our Leadership Team member, Lisbeth Melendez Rivera, will be honored Creating Change 2021. Creating Change is the annual conference sponsored by the National LGBT Task Force, a long-time partner to the Coalition through the Welcoming Church Program Leaders group which includes leaders from each of the denominational LGBTQIA+ affirming organizations.
Speaking of the award on Facebook, Lisbeth said; “I am humbled beyond words. To follow in the footsteps of my mentors and s/herxs. It’s been an honor to be in your presence and to learn from you. Please join me at #CC21 to celebrate change, new beginnings, and all that has gotten us here! We wear our scars well because with them we create change! Thanks to The Task Force and Sue Hyde. To all of you who helped me get here GRACIAS de todo corazon!”
