Dear ones,

As you prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, the Open and Affirming Coalition staff join together in giving thanks for all of you in our growing ONA family.

We give thanks because you are part of a movement that is saving lives, where LGBT seekers have found a home where they and their families are safe.

We give thanks because in your communities, you stand with your LGBT neighbors when their rights and human dignity are under attack.

We give thanks because in every state where marriage equality has become the law, you have advocated for the equal worth of our relationships.

We give thanks because every time members of ONA churches tell their stories, hearts are touched and lives are changed.

We give thanks that as we prepare to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our Open and Affirming movement, we know the best is yet to come.

So wherever you are on this Thanksgiving holiday—at home or traveling, with family and friends or alone—know that the Open and Affirming Coalition gives thanks for the blessing you and your congregation are in this world.
