Celebrating the 1900th Certified ONA Church!

On this Last day of 2024 we are thrilled to announce the 1900th certified Open and Affirming Church in the family: First Congregational United Church of Christ in Grand Blanc, MI!
This historic church, with roots dating back to 1833, proclaims a bold theology of love and justice:
“Wherever there is injustice, strife, hatred, or need, we are called by the teachings of Jesus to bear witness, serve, and reconcile. We belong to Christ and must follow where Christ leads.”
As we celebrate this milestone, we also recognize the urgent need to continue growing the Open and Affirming movement. LGBTQ+ people face growing challenges, and our Justice 100 Campaign is raising funds to help us equip churches to be sanctuaries of courage, inclusion, affirmation and hope.
